Clark Schaefer Hackett has provided traditional auditing and tax assistance to financial institutions for over 25 years, and more than half of our clients have been with us over a decade.  We serve locally-based banks and savings institutions with staff that are knowledgeable about the industry norms in this market. Our Financial Institutions Group is led by Scott Deters, CPA.

CSH HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED FOR EXCELLENCE IN AUDITING 

Our quality assurance efforts contain a number of controls to help ensure the quality of our work and reports. First, our engagements include specific procedures such as shareholder review of work papers and concurring review of all reports prior to issuance by a second shareholder not involved with the engagement. Second, our firm has implemented an annual internal inspection process to review selected engagements to ensure conformance to professional standards and firm policies. From an external perspective, we undergo a peer review by another major accounting firm and PCAOB examination. In addition, due to the industries we serve, we are also subject to routine inspection by regulatory agencies such as the Auditor of State of Ohio, the Office of the Inspector General and Department of Labor. Although complaints are quite common in the accounting industry, we continue to receive an unqualified "clean" opinion.
