MIDDLETOWN - Tom Hazelbaker, CPA, has been awarded the Ohio Society of CPA's 2009 Gold Medal for Meritorious Service to the Accounting Profession. The Gold Medal is awarded one Ohio CPA each year and is the highest recognition the Society can bestow on a member.

Hazelbaker is the Chairman of Clark Schaefer Hackett, a prominent regional public accounting firm with five offices located in Ohio and serving clients in the Midwest.

03/03/2009 - Clark Schaefer Hackett named third largest CPA firm in Tri-State by The Business Courier

Clark Schaefer Hackett, one of the largest Ohio-based public accounting firms, has been listed as the third largest accounting firm in the Tri-State by The Cincinnati Business Courier. The Courier's "Largest Tri-State Accounting Firms" list is published annually and ranks firms by number of local CPAs. Clark Schaefer Hackett moved from the fourth spot to the third spot for 2009.

Clark Schaefer Hackett, one of the largest Ohio-based public accounting firms, has been named a finalist in the 2009 SC Awards program for outstanding achievement in information-technology (IT) security. Its security team was recognized in the Professional Award category. IT-security vendor companies nominate entries for consideration in the SC Awards program, which are judged by a panel of 18 chief information security officers at major corporations and large public sector organizations.
