Clark Schaefer Hackett is pleased to announce a merger with the regional compliance consulting firm, Albright Consulting, Inc. The merger will solidify Clark Schaefer Hackett’s position as the Tri-State’s largest locally-based banking risk management and compliance practice. The combined group will be led by Principal Jim Conley, who currently serves as the Clark Schaefer Risk Management Service Group Leader.

The Courier's "Largest Tri-State Accounting Firms" list is published annually and ranks firms by number of local CPAs. Clark Schaefer Hackett moved from the fourth spot to the third spot for 2009.

Public and governmental scrutiny of appropriate business practices has increased due to several high-profi le cases of fraud in recent years. While most business leaders have heard about fraud cases in the news, many have not yet taken a hard look at their own business to examine whether or not their fraud policy is adequate.Organizations need not only to be aware of the risk of fraud, but understand how to reinforce ethical behavior and business practices through a comprehensive and enforcedfraud policy.
