Michael Borowitz, CPA recently earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the ASAE through its accredited program. According to the ASAE, “The Certified Association Executive program is designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and designate association professionals who demonstrate the knowledge essential to manage an association in today’s challenging environment.”
To be designated as a CAE, an applicant must have a minimum of three years of experience with nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management, and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. More than 4,200 association professionals currently hold the CAE credential.
