UPDATE: Thanks in no small part to Hollaender Manufacturing – we’ve not only reached, but surpassed our goal! Learn more.
As part of the firm’s 75th anniversary celebration, over 350 Clark Schaefer Hackett associates are proud to be raising funds for Honor Flight, a not-for-profit organization that transports veterans to Washington, D.C. to reflect at their memorials. The CSH workforce accepted this as an internal project, with a goal to personally contribute or raise the funds to send 75 vets on Honor Flights – one for every year we’ve been in business.
But we’ve been stunned and humbled by the response of clients and other friends of the firm who joined us in our efforts. Together, we’ve so far funded the trips of 54 veterans. Thank you to every client and supporter who has honored veterans in our name. We are truly grateful.
One great example of support comes from Hollaender Manufacturing. Also in business for more than 75 years, Hollaender has been a CSH client for over a decade. Upon reading about Clark Schaefer Hackett’s efforts to send 75 Ohio veterans to Washington D.C., President & CEO Rob Hollaender II was inspired.
“When we heard about this unique and meaningful way to celebrate 75 years in business, we wanted to be a part of it,” Hollaender said. “But more than that, we want other businesses to be a part of it. That’s why we’re proud to issue this pledge. Hollaender Manufacturing will match every CSH client donation to Honor Flight, up to $10,000 (total).”
We are pleased and amazed by Hollaender’s generous offer. Our firm embarked on this effort in honor of our clients – to celebrate 75 years of important, successful client work. We are thrilled to support this great cause. We have been touched by the feedback we have received from clients and friends of the firm requesting information on how to be involved. If you are interested in supporting Honor Flight, contact your Clark Schaefer Hackett representative. We will never lose sight of the fact that our success is built on your success. Thank you!
Welcome home Honor Flight Veterans
Throughout the coming months groups from across the Clark Schaefer Hackett offices will be attending the welcome home celebrations at the various Ohio airports. These welcome home events are open to the public and anyone who is interested can attend. Members of the CSH Columbus office recently attended one of these welcome home events and here’s what they had to say:
“I never realized how amazing the program is until I saw the impact first-hand, not only for the veterans, but for the veteran’s families. It was truly amazing being able to thank every veteran for their service and to hug every one of them I could get my hands on!”
“I was humbled and very moved by the experience of watching the Honor Flight come into Columbus. It was so impressive to see these 80 Veterans … mostly WWII and Korean War, along with their Guardians come down the elevator at the airport and be introduced to hundreds of people waiting to greet them, most of whom were holding flags, clapping and many crying. The most memorable time for me was to witness two Veterans … both in mid- to late-80’s reach out from their wheelchairs to greet each other and hold hands. ”
