Diane Merk has over 30 years of public accounting and private industry experience serving as a tax advisor to predominantly closely-held and family-owned businesses and their owners. Much of her career has been devoted to state and local tax issues, with a specialization in multi-state sales and use tax issues and income tax compliance. She obtained practical experience with state and local tax issues through her work as a corporate tax director of a multi-state corporation.
Diane and the SALT practice members provide multi-state compliance and consulting services for a variety of clients in the areas of sales and use tax, income and franchise taxes, and personal property tax. They also provide multi-state audit support, tax planning services and research on state and local tax issues. Diane also assists small businesses by providing presentations on relevant state and local tax issues.
