With nearly 20 years of comprehensive experience in taxation and accounting, Matt McKinnon focuses on tax planning, compliance, transaction, and controversy services. He has particular expertise with pass-through entities and individual taxpayers. Matt has spent his career advising clients on all aspects of tax services present throughout the life cycle of a business enterprise. From choice of entity at inception, to compliance throughout the years, and concluding with transaction planning upon disposition, Matt is well-versed in the technical issues present at each stage.
Matt serves clients in the automotive dealership, construction and real estate, and manufacturing industries. He is an active member of many industry associations and organizations.
In addition to his client service responsibilities, Matt is involved in training, coaching and mentoring, both within Clark Schaefer Hackett and outside the firm at the collegiate level. Helping develop current and future accountants is important to Matt.
