Dan Lacey, a shareholder in Clark Schaefer Hackett’s Columbus office, was recently elected Co-Chair of the Law & Finance Group for the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio (BX). Lacey, who has been a member of BX for over seven years, will serve a two-year term as Co-Chair for the association. He will be responsible for leading a Group of nearly 40 legal and financial professionals tasked with providing knowledge and educational services to the construction industry.
Founded in 1892, BX is one of Ohio’s oldest and largest commercial construction trade associations. The association boasts more than 700 member companies representing the entire spectrum of the industry. Lacey, who also serves as the Treasurer for the Central Ohio Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association, is excited about the opportunity.
“BX is one of the premier associations for construction professionals in Central Ohio,” said Lacey. “In this leadership role, I plan to serve our members by making it easy for them to understand developing financial and legal issues affecting the industry. Everything from recent tax-related legislation to product liability trends should be top of mind in 2016 and beyond for construction companies.”
Lacey has been with Clark Schaefer Hackett for more than 35 years and brings extensive experience to construction companies. He specializes in taxation as it relates to construction and real estate businesses and their owners.
