New Shareholders Named and 2009 Promotions Announced at Clark Schaefer Hackett

OHIO – Clark Schaefer Hackett is pleased to announce the following new Shareholders: David Holmes, Devesh Kamal, Jeffrey Overberg and Jane Pfeifer.

Mr. Holmes, CPA, is based in our Springfield office and has extensive experience in auditing, accounting and tax services related to for-profit and not-for-profit entities. Over twenty years of public accounting experience has provided David an opportunity to provide assurance and tax services to all types of organizations in a wide range of industries; including manufacturing, construction, service and healthcare. David has provided a variety of other accounting and management consulting services; such as the preparation of employee benefit plan audits, preparation of forecasts and projections, internal control attestation engagements, tax planning, and agreed upon procedure engagements

Mr. Kamal, CPA, is based in our Springfield office and specializes in providing audit and tax services to HUD, Section 42 low-income housing tax credit projects and Public Housing Authorities. Devesh has extensive experience with electronic submission of HUD/PHA audit reports to the Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC). He also provides general accounting, auditing and tax services to a number of a diverse group of clients, including financial institutions, not-for-profit organizations, behavioral healthcare organizations, institutions of higher education, automobile dealerships, and governmental entities.

Mr. Overberg, CPA, is based in our Cincinnati office and specializes in closely-held businesses and is responsible for all aspects of tax planning and compliance for business and individual engagements. Jeff serves clients across many industries, including manufacturing, service, hospitality and real estate. He has assisted clients with a wide range of business activities, including acquisitions, restructurings, and dispositions.

Ms. Pfeifer, CPA, is based in our Columbus office specializes in the area of taxation and focuses on working with not-for-profit organizations and closely held businesses.  She also has worked with clients regarding corporate reorganizations, multi-state taxation and choice of entity. Jane works closely with the Firm s not-for-profit clients in tax compliance and planning, as well as representation before the IRS.  She is the primary reviewer for all Forms 990 for the Columbus and Cincinnati offices. Jane has considerable experience with both federal and state tax research.

At Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co., it is our goal to give our staff the opportunity to advance. Promotions are based on ability, leadership and willingness to accept responsibility. The individuals who have been chosen for promotions this year have exhibited all of these qualities.

Our accountants rise through the positions of: Staff I Accountant, Staff II Accountant, Senior Accountant, Manager Accountant, Principal Accountant and Shareholder.

Promotions include:

Nicole Cottrell (Springfield) and Tiffany White (Columbus) have been promoted to Principal Accountants.

Bradley Billet (Springfield), John Masheck (Middletown), and Isaac Kelly (Cincinnati) have been promoted to Manager Accountants.

Shanna Baxter (Sprinfield), Melissa Montag (Cincinnati), Ryan Fullenkamp (Cincinnati), William Poland (Cincinnati), and Michael Lipschutz (Cincinnati) have been promoted to Senior Accountants.

Zachary Binzer (Cincinnati), Matthew Michael (Cincinnati), Joshua Blom (Middletown), John Numbers (Dayton), Jeremy Curington (Cincinnati), Jason Reverman (Cincinnati), Tamara Johnson (Cincinnati), George Simpson (Springfield), Cynthia Kozar (Cincinnati) have been promoted to Stall II Accountants.
