Clark Schaefer Hackett is pleased to announce a merger with the regional compliance consulting firm, Albright Consulting, Inc.  The merger will solidify Clark Schaefer Hackett’s position as the Tri-State’s largest locally-based banking risk management and compliance practice.  The combined group will be led by Principal Jim Conley, who currently serves as the Clark Schaefer Risk Management Service Group Leader.  The Risk Management Service Group is part of the Financial Institutions Industry, led by Scott Deters.

The acquisition will double the number of financial institutions clients served by the Clark Schaefer Hackett Risk Management Service Group, as well as the number of employees serving our banking risk management and compliance clients.

Albright Consulting has more than sixty years of combined financial experience in the area of banking compliance. Albright employees are well-versed in the areas of policy development, compliance reviews, and quality control as well as regulatory compliance.   Albright Consulting employees also have experience working for the Office of Thrift Supervision, the FDIC and holding various accounting positions at financial institutions.

Regarding the acquisition, Clark Schaefer Hackett’s President Carl Coburn stated, “Our vision is to create a dynamic, growth-oriented firm that provides enhanced services to our clients.  At a time when there are almost constant changes in the banking regulatory environment, this merger will allow us to broaden our banking compliance services for our clients and provide them with peace of mind.”

Connie Albright, President of Albright Consulting added, “The combination of the two practices will provide our clients with more resources and a streamlined approach to compliance and internal audit services.  This will be beneficial to banks as they face increasing regulatory challenges.”
