Ohio Launches “TechCred” – for a limited time

Ohio has formally announced a new simplified training program seeking to enhance the technology skillsets of Ohio’s workers.

The program, TechCred Training Reimbursement Program (“TechCred”), is offering a cash reimbursement to employers for the cost of employee training related to technology up to $2,000 per employee and $30,000 per employer. Eligible training can include existing training programs.

This time-sensitive program application opens October 1, 2019, and funding will be based on a competitively scored application.

“No matter your industry, technology is having an impact on your business and the nature of your work,” Lt. Governor Jon Husted said in a prepared statement. “TechCred links businesses with the talent they need and provides a path for employees to advance their career. It is a win-win for Ohio.”
