Clark Schaefer Hackett Welcomes Shanda McKinney as CHRO
Clark Schaefer Hackett (CSH), a leading accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Shanda McKinney has joined the firm as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, McKinney will design and lead a firmwide, people-first strategy aligned with CSH’s long-term business vision, helping shape the next chapter of the firm’s evolution as a modern advisory powerhouse.
McKinney brings more than 20 years of executive human resources leadership experience spanning professional services. Most recently, she served as Global Head of People & Culture at Woolpert, where she led their global HR strategy. She also served as Vice President of Human Resources at Wright-Patt Credit Union, where she supported significant organizational growth and workforce expansion.
“CSH’s strength has always been its people,” said Kerry Roe, President of Clark Schaefer Hackett. “As we continue to grow and expand our advisory capabilities, we need a visionary HR leader who can align talent strategy with business strategy, strengthen leadership capability, and ensure our culture continues to evolve with intention. Shanda brings the experience and perspective to help us write the next chapter of our story.”
As CHRO, McKinney will partner closely with firm and local leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness, elevate leadership capability, and guide culture transformation initiatives that position CSH as a destination employer. Her responsibilities will include shaping competitive compensation and benefits strategies that attract, retain, and celebrate exceptional talent, while fostering an inclusive environment grounded in equity, empathy, and belonging. In addition, she will coach leaders to elevate performance, optimize team structures, and build scalable systems that support continued growth.
“Accounting and advisory firms compete in a dynamic talent market where culture and opportunity matter as much as compensation,” said McKinney. “I’m excited to design a people-first strategy that fuels engagement, growth, and excellence, one that empowers our professionals to thrive, supports our leaders in driving performance, and ensures CSH remains a firm where top talent chooses to build their careers.”
McKinney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wright State University and a Master of Science in Human Resource Administration from Central Michigan University. She is an active community leader serving on the Board for both Omega Community Development Corporation and Young Ladies Aspiring Greatness. Additionally, she has been recognized by the Dayton Business Journal as a “40 Under 40” honoree and participated in the Dayton Chamber’s Leadership Dayton Class.
