Bill Edwards leads the firm’s Benefit Plan Administration and Consulting Group. During the nearly 20 years he has been with Clark Schaefer Hackett, the firm has grown this practice from 60 plans to its current client list of over 650 plans.
Bill regularly consults with employers regarding the administration of tax qualified retirement plans and welfare benefit plans. He has assisted employers in the design, implementation and termination of tax qualified retirement plans of all types, including: 401(k) plans, profit sharing plans, money purchase pension plans, collectively bargained union plans, 403(b) plans for tax exempt organizations and defined benefit plans. He has extensive experience assisting plan sponsors with IRS and US Department of Labor audits, government reporting requirements, determination letter filings and voluntary correction programs.
Bill is passionate about helping employers understand complicated and confusing retirement plan regulations, and designing plans that will help business owners achieve their future retirement goals.
Bill began his career in the national office of Ernst & Young in the actuarial, benefits and compensation consulting practice. Prior to joining Clark Schaefer Hackett, Bill spent three years as the Director of Employee Benefits for a regional CPA firm.
